Responsibilities:
- Architect, build and operate production LLM capabilities for customer-facing products and internal workflows.
- Implement RAG, embeddings and vector search pipelines and integrate agents and tool-calling where appropriate.
- Build backend services, APIs and supporting infrastructure to expose AI functionality to products.
- Create reusable libraries, patterns and abstractions to speed development and improve maintainability.
- Define evaluation metrics and set up observability, monitoring and feedback loops for AI features.
- Monitor and optimize for quality, latency, reliability, scalability and inference cost; triage production issues.
- Prototype rapidly with Product and ML teams and convert validated experiments into robust production systems.
- Influence architecture decisions and trade-offs across performance, scalability and long-term sustainability.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience shipping LLM-driven features or applications into production.
- Hands-on knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector search, agentic systems, LLM APIs, orchestration and tool calling.
- Deep understanding of production LLM challenges: evaluation, observability, failure modes, latency and cost control.
- Strong backend and API engineering skills, cloud deployment experience (e.g., AWS), Docker and CI/CD familiarity.
- Proficiency in Python and modern web stacks (TypeScript/Node.js) and experience with distributed systems.
- Strong collaborator with product focus and experience working across Product, ML and Engineering teams.
