Responsibilities:
- Design, build and evolve clearing and settlement services using Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot.
- Own features end-to-end from design through production in autonomous, cross-functional teams.
- Model complex business domains using Domain-Driven Design and translate them into clear software boundaries.
- Implement and operate cloud-native services on AWS (containerised ECS workloads and event-driven Lambdas).
- Maintain reliable delivery via IaC, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability.
- Ensure code is secure, well-tested, maintainable, and performs under production load.
- Improve team engineering standards: quality, automation, reliability and developer experience.
Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, engineering or comparable qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot in backend systems.
- Proven knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and translating business processes into software models.
- Experience with distributed, event-driven architectures, API design and resilient systems.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud-native tools, containers (ECS) and serverless (Lambda).
- Practical experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing and production observability.
- Attention to reliability, security, and operational ownership; strong collaboration and communication skills.
