Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and ship backend features that directly impact customer communication workflows and platform reliability.
- Own end-to-end feature delivery: architecture, coding, testing, deployment (AWS/Terraform), and post-release monitoring.
- Improve platform performance, scalability, and observability; introduce best practices and tooling for reliability.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the long-term technical strategy for the backend.
- Promote engineering standards, code quality, and mentoring across the team; bring product-driven ideas to influence roadmap.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Java and TypeScript and experience with JVM frameworks (Quarkus or Spring Boot).
- Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Solid PostgreSQL knowledge and experience building scalable backend systems.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM libraries (e.g., LangGraph) or interest in integrating LLMs into product flows.
- Good computer science fundamentals and experience with observability tools (Datadog, Sentry) and messaging/queueing patterns.
- Nice-to-have: Kotlin, OpenSearch, SQS/SNS/SES, Lambda/CloudFront experience and previous work on messaging/omnichannel platforms.
