About the role
Responsibilities:
- Own the Underwriting & Pricing domain: define the problem, target customers and why it matters now.
- Set strategic roadmap and prioritisation using evidence (data, customer insight, regulatory context).
- Translate business strategy into measurable outcomes and make trade-offs across value, usability, feasibility and commercial viability.
- Hold joint accountability with the Engineering Manager for delivery and measurable impact.
- Guide cross-domain decisions, mentor other PMs and help raise product standards across the organisation.
- Drive evidence-based experiments, assess initiatives against regulatory and commercial constraints, and close the loop on results.
Requirements:
- Significant product management experience (typical 5+ years) with ownership of strategy and outcomes at scale.
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data and tools (SQL/analytics) to inform decisions and prioritisation.
- Experience in insurance, underwriting, pricing or other regulated industries with commercial and regulatory trade-offs.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing ability across technical, commercial and regulatory teams.
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, high-stakes situations and mentor more junior PMs.
