Senior QA Engineer at Spotware Systems

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to analyze requirements and define clear test coverage and acceptance criteria.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for functional and non-functional scenarios (sanity, performance, stress).
- Build and maintain Java-based test automation and participate in automation code reviews to keep tests reliable and maintainable.
- Create and run test strategies for complex backend systems and microservices, including event-driven flows and high-availability requirements.
- Validate inter-service communication and socket-based integrations (TCP, WebSocket, gRPC); reproduce and troubleshoot environment issues.
- Maintain and monitor test environments, test data, and CI pipelines; ensure stable test execution and reporting via Allure TestOps.
- Log, track, and perform root-cause analysis on defects; produce clear bug reports and traceability between requirements and tests.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of QA experience on backend projects and 2+ years troubleshooting Java applications.
- Proficiency in Java for automation development and strong knowledge of test design techniques (boundary value, equivalence partitioning, state transition).
- Hands-on experience with microservices and event-driven architectures, including asynchronous processing and message brokers.
- Proven experience testing TCP/socket integrations (e.g., WebSocket, gRPC) and executing performance/stress testing.
- Practical SQL skills for backend validation and Linux CLI experience for environment troubleshooting and test maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills: impact analysis, traceability matrices, and clear root-cause identification.
- Good communication in English (B1+) and Russian.
- Comfortable using AI tools as an integral part of your workflow.
- Preferred: familiarity with binary protocols (FIX), PostgreSQL/ClickHouse, Kafka, Redis, and experience in Forex/trading platforms.
