Responsibilities:
- Design, build and own the observability platform integrating DataDog, OpenTelemetry, AWS services and CI pipelines (GitHub Actions).
- Implement automation to reduce manual toil and accelerate incident resolution, leveraging AI/LLM where appropriate for automated root-cause analysis.
- Administer and optimise the platform for performance, reliability, cost and governance; define monitoring standards and alerting practices.
- Proactively monitor production, troubleshoot incidents, iterate on fixes and run post-incident reviews to improve systems.
- Partner with engineering teams and stakeholders to prioritise observability needs and deliver scalable solutions.

Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in SaaS engineering with hands-on observability and DevOps experience; DataDog experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, IaC tools, Kubernetes and AWS fundamentals.
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry or similar telemetry systems and best practices for metrics/traces/logs.
- Experience with security, cost management and governance in cloud environments and SRE principles.
- Comfortable using AI tools to enhance diagnostics; strong cross-team communication and English proficiency.
