Responsibilities:
- Architect, build and maintain high-scale backend services and public APIs (REST, OpenAPI) using Java and Spring Boot.
- Define and enforce API standards, build SDKs, developer tools and reference implementations to simplify partner integrations.
- Design event-driven solutions (Kafka) and optimize data models and PostgreSQL for reliability and low latency.
- Lead domain modelling (DDD), code reviews and mentor junior engineers to improve platform quality.
- Collaborate with product, implementation and partner teams to shape API product features and ensure secure OAuth2 integrations.
- Drive cross-organizational alignment on API patterns, participate in global initiatives and travel as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience building production-grade public APIs and developer platforms (RESTful, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2).
- Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise; practical experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems and relational DBs (PostgreSQL).
- Good grasp of microservices design, domain-driven design, scalability and fault-tolerant architectures.
- Strong communication, product mindset and experience mentoring engineers.
- Experience with security, compliance and building for high availability and performance in fintech environments.
