Responsibilities:
- Lead design, development and deployment of LLM and ML systems to automate AML handling workflows (case summaries, red-flag generation, risk classification, doc requests).
- Define labeling taxonomies, build evaluation datasets and implement automated evaluation harnesses for accuracy, precision/recall and failure-mode analysis.
- Run structured prompt experiments (few-shot, chain-of-thought, context ordering) and optimise prompts to reduce hallucinations and format errors.
- Design shadow testing and monitoring (data/output drift) and own post-deployment evaluation pipelines.
- Ship production-ready Python services and end-to-end automation; collaborate with engineers, EDD SMEs and ops teams.
- Drive technical strategy, mentor teammates, and lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce financial crime risk.
Requirements:
- Substantial ML/LLM experience with hands-on model evaluation, prompt engineering and experimentation frameworks.
- Strong Python skills and proven ability to build production data/ML services.
- Experience in model evaluation metrics, A/B/shadow testing and monitoring for drift and failure modes.
- Domain knowledge in AML / financial crime mitigation and building tooling for operational workflows preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills; ability to own end-to-end delivery.
- Experience mentoring/leading technical teams and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
