Responsibilities:
- Own the technical roadmap and design robust, scalable backend systems for global KYC and onboarding.
- Deliver large-scale microservice projects: APIs, data pipelines, integration points, and observability.
- Integrate and coordinate with risk, compliance, and FinCrime systems to meet regulatory requirements.
- Build configuration-driven verification flows and platform features that enable global product changes without heavy engineering overhead.
- Increase automation safely (ML/AI where appropriate), with fallbacks, monitoring, and clear decisioning traces.
- Maintain high reliability under heavy load; drive performance tuning, testing, and incident responses.
- Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
Requirements:
- 4+ years production experience with Java 8+ and Spring Framework.
- Proven experience with asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and microservice architectures.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational data modeling and API design.
- Experience designing systems for scalability, security, observability, and regulatory compliance (KYC/FinCrime knowledge preferred).
- Product mindset: collaborate with product, design, and compliance to trade off safety, UX, and velocity.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, testing strategies, and cloud deployment patterns.
