Responsibilities:
- Architect, build, and scale backend systems for AI-native enterprise finance and ERP products.
- Deliver high-performance APIs and services in Python; ensure reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Lead end-to-end ownership: design, implementation, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, migrations, and performance tuning.
- Integrate external services and handle complex edge cases, retries, and data reconciliation.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to convert complex accounting rules into robust technical designs.
- Drive improvements in scalability, observability, and incident response processes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable, production-grade systems.
- Strong cloud experience (AWS or equivalent) and CI/CD best practices.
- Expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL, ORM frameworks, schema design, and data migrations.
- Demonstrated experience designing resilient APIs and backend services.
- Comfortable with production operations: monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.
- Practical Python experience; FastAPI/Flask/Django experience is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly in English.
