Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement core backend services for AI-native finance and ERP applications.
- Build reliable, high-performance Python APIs and services (FastAPI/Flask/Django) and enforce best practices.
- Own database design and maintenance: PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, indexing, and tuning.
- Create and maintain CI/CD, deployment automation, observability, and incident response processes.
- Integrate external systems, manage failure modes, and ensure secure, compliant data handling.
- Work closely with product and engineering to convert financial domain requirements into scalable software.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in backend engineering with a track record of shipping production-grade systems.
- Strong Python experience; knowledge of FastAPI, Flask, or Django is preferred.
- Deep PostgreSQL and database design experience, including migrations and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms, CI/CD tooling, and production operations.
- Solid API design and system architecture skills for complex business logic.
- Clear English communication, autonomy, and experience in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.
