Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver backend services that handle complex, real-time finance and ERP workflows.
- Implement robust, well-documented APIs and background processing in Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
- Take full ownership across architecture, development, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, manage migrations, and optimize query performance.
- Integrate external systems, handle error scenarios, ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to turn accounting requirements into scalable implementations.
- Continuously iterate to improve system reliability, scalability, and observability.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with production systems and complex business logic.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong PostgreSQL, SQL, ORM, schema design, and migration experience.
- Experience designing APIs and resilient backend services.
- Comfortable with production operations: monitoring, alerting, incident response, and performance tuning.
- Python experience; familiarity with FastAPI/Flask/Django is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in high-ownership, fast-paced teams and communicate effectively in English.
