Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate backend services, APIs and data-processing workflows for the Data Enrichment Platform.
- Implement model-execution workflows, versioned outputs, annotation capabilities and dataset catalogue features.
- Improve scalability, reliability and cost-efficiency for large-scale inference across petabytes of data and GPU fleets.
- Investigate and resolve reliability, performance and capacity issues; contribute to scheduling, data locality and failure recovery designs.
- Deliver observability: monitoring, alerts, dashboards and operational tooling; write tested, maintainable code and documentation.
- Collaborate with model engineering, AI Platform, infrastructure, compute, storage and data teams to deliver reusable capabilities.
Requirements:
- Strong production software-engineering experience in Python, building backend services, APIs or data-processing systems.
- Experience designing, building or operating distributed systems for data- or compute-intensive workloads.
- Practical exposure to large-scale inference, GPU-backed workloads, and workflow orchestration (e.g. Flyte, Airflow, Argo).
- Solid system-design fundamentals and ability to make trade-offs for scalability, reliability and cost.
- Experience debugging performance and operational issues across complex stack; good testing and observability practices.
