Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a shared C++ and Python simulation codebase used for open-loop and closed-loop evaluation.
- Implement scoped features and integrate driving-stack components, simulated robot systems and vehicle-platform capabilities.
- Support and test multiple simulation configurations, with an initial focus on high-scale open-loop evaluation.
- Investigate discrepancies between on-road and simulated behaviour across data flows, timing and interfaces.
- Improve automated testing, observability, reproducibility and developer tooling for easier debugging and trustable results.
- Profile simulator workloads and deliver performance and scalability improvements.
- Collaborate with Simulation, Robotics, Autonomy, Evaluation, Platform and Data teams to clarify requirements and resolve integration issues.
Requirements:
- Professional experience delivering production software and strong proficiency in modern C++ and Python.
- Background in simulation, robotics or complex autonomous systems and familiarity with driving-stack integration.
- Proven ability to debug complex data flows and trace issues across component interfaces.
- Experience with performance profiling, scalability optimization and automated testing practices.
- Strong communication skills and experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
