Software Engineer - Logistics Engineering (all genders) at Zalando

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and test features for logistics systems that support warehouse operations, stock distribution, returns and order fulfillment.
- Deploy production changes and monitor real-time behaviour to ensure reliability and low error rates.
- Improve developer experience: automate repetitive tasks, improve CI/test coverage and reduce friction for the team.
- Extend and maintain existing components: implement small features, fix bugs and optimise performance.
- Collaborate with product, QA and operations to ensure solutions deliver business value and measurable improvements.

Requirements:
- Proven software engineering experience with JVM languages (Java or Kotlin).
- Familiarity with Typescript/Javascript; knowledge of Spring Boot, Ktor or React is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, testing mindset and attention to production observability.
- Able to explain technical decisions clearly and work well in team discussions.
- Comfortable working on well-defined problems, iterating quickly and learning domain-specific logistics concepts.
