Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain real-time backend and streaming components that support risk and abuse detection.
- Work on machine-learning infrastructure and pipelines used for detection, assessment, and automated mitigation.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers and follow mentorship to grow technical skills.
- Participate in product discovery, roadmap planning, and end-to-end feature delivery.
- Contribute to monitoring, alerting, documentation, and operational procedures for production systems.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business context and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in a Java-based language (Kotlin preferred) and eagerness to learn new technologies quickly.
- Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and relational/datastore technologies (PostgreSQL, SQLite, Presto/Trino) is a plus.
- Interest in machine-learning infrastructure, streaming systems, and operating systems at scale.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Desire to learn best practices for monitoring, alerting, testing, and production reliability.
- Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback; willingness to work in an inclusive environment.
