Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the technical vision, architecture and roadmap for a native desktop client serving 20M+ endpoints (Windows and macOS).
- Design and implement high-performance, secure native features with deep OS integration (APIs, accessibility, IPC, drivers where needed).
- Own the full application distribution lifecycle: signing, packaging, installers, updates, telemetry and crash reporting.
- Champion observability: performance monitoring, crash diagnostics, memory profiling and client-side instrumentation.
- Partner with backend, infra, security and AI/ML teams to align client behavior with server-side services and security requirements.
- Mentor engineers, run design reviews and raise engineering standards across the desktop platform team.

Requirements:
- 7+ years shipping native desktop applications on Windows and macOS with strong ownership experience.
- Proficiency in Rust and/or C++ and deep knowledge of platform APIs, packaging, code signing and distribution processes.
- Experience solving performance, reliability and cross-platform integration challenges at large scale.
- Familiarity with telemetry, APM tools, crash reporting and diagnostics for distributed client fleets.
- Strong architectural judgement, communication skills and experience mentoring engineering teams.
