Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain core backend services for permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability.
- Design and manage deployment architectures for both hosted and self-hosted environments using IaC (Terraform/Pulumi).
- Improve production reliability, performance, security, and monitoring; own incident response and post‑mortems.
- Partner with product to deliver features that meet audit and compliance requirements while preserving developer velocity.
- Apply AI-native development practices to integrate ML/LLM features safely and effectively.
Requirements:
- 1–6 years of professional backend development experience with TypeScript and NestJS in production.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma for data modeling and migrations.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi) and deployment automation.
- Practical exposure to AI/ML or LLM-powered systems and their operational considerations.
- Focus on observability, audit logs, security practices, and building dependable systems for financial workflows.
- Willingness to work on-site in Berlin and collaborate closely with a small engineering team.
