Responsibilities:
- Participate in discovery, design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance of backend services for the Incentives team.
- Deliver customer-facing features across acquisition, signup, premium membership tiers and day-to-day engagement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers and peers to translate user needs into reliable, scalable systems.
- Own individual deliverables, share knowledge in the team and contribute ideas during Get Stuff Done Days (GSDD).
- Promote best practices for testing, documentation, security and observability.
Requirements:
- Production experience building services with a JVM language and Spring Boot (Kotlin is a plus).
- Solid understanding of microservice architecture and experience with relational and non-relational databases (Postgres preferred).
- Practical experience in cloud environments (preferably AWS) and modern deployment workflows.
- Strong bias for action, focus on secure, well-tested and well-documented code.
- Comfortable giving and receiving direct feedback and working effectively within cross-functional teams.
