Engineering Manager - Cards and Digital Wallets at N26

Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow ~15 backend engineers across 3 teams: regular 1:1s, performance feedback and career development.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of customer-facing Cards and Digital Wallets projects on schedule.
- Define, track and act on engineering metrics and KPIs to find bottlenecks and improve delivery.
- Partner with Product and UX to plan work, align priorities, manage dependencies and remove blockers.
- Maintain technical standards: promote scalable architectures, code quality, testing and observability.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote a DevOps-aware operating model.

Requirements:
- Proven experience managing and mentoring software engineers (team ~10–20).
- Demonstrable track record delivering complex, end-to-end projects in agile environments.
- Strong understanding of engineering metrics and how to use them to improve team performance.
- Excellent collaboration skills with Product Managers and UX/design teams.
- Technical background sufficient to review architecture, trade-offs and earn engineering trust.
- Comfortable prioritising in fast-changing contexts and driving cross-team impact.
- Fluent English. Nice-to-have: FinTech, infrastructure/operations or DevOps culture experience.
