Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Access Team at N26

About the role

Responsibilities:
- Own design and operation of access controls for AWS to ensure automated, least-privilege, and audit-ready access.
- Operate Teleport or equivalent access infrastructure for secure connections to hosts, databases and k8s clusters.
- Implement and improve Just-In-Time (JIT) access workflows and Privileged Access Management (PAM) practices.
- Automate IAM and authorization flows; embed security policies into infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Provide monitoring, alerts and diagnostics for authentication/authorization services and support audit evidence collection.
- Identify access risks and drive remediation projects; contribute to cross-team initiatives and incident response.

Requirements:
- Production expertise with AWS IAM, Organizations and multi-account security patterns.
- Practical experience with Teleport or similar PAM/JIT tools and strong Terraform skills for IaC.
- Solid Linux and networking knowledge (OIDC, SAML, SSH, TLS, TCP/IP) and RBAC experience for containerized environments.
- Ability to script and automate using Go or Python and translate compliance requirements into technical controls.
- Security-first mentality, excellent communication, autonomy and experience operating in regulated/fast-moving environments.
