Responsibilities:
- Drive exploratory analysis, feature engineering and dataset preparation for analytics and ML tasks.
- Develop, train and validate models (supervised and unsupervised); tune hyperparameters and monitor performance.
- Define and apply evaluation metrics and validation protocols (cross-validation, holdouts, overfitting checks).
- Use statistical methods to support insights and model decisions (hypothesis testing, distribution analysis).
- Track experiments and manage model artifacts using MLflow, W&B or Databricks ML; support deployment lifecycle.
- Query data with SQL, produce visualizations and dashboards with Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly or BI tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical results in business terms.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of relevant data science experience; degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or similar preferred.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas) and scikit-learn; experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow is a plus.
- Strong SQL skills and experience in EDA and feature engineering.
- Practical knowledge of statistics, validation techniques and experimental design.
- Familiarity with model tracking/management tools and cloud ML platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI).
- Clear communicator, proactive problem-solver and able to take ownership of model quality.
