Responsibilities:
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to extract insights and identify opportunities.
- Prepare, clean and engineer features for analytical and ML use cases.
- Train, tune and evaluate supervised and unsupervised models; implement appropriate validation strategies.
- Apply statistical/probabilistic methods to support modelling and decision making.
- Define metrics, perform cross‑validation and monitor for overfitting.
- Track experiments and manage models using MLflow, Weights & Biases or Databricks ML.
- Query and manipulate data using SQL; create dashboards and visualizations in Power BI, Tableau or Python libraries.
- Apply MLOps basics: versioning, registries and deployment hygiene; work with cloud ML platforms (Azure ML, SageMaker).
- Translate technical findings into clear recommendations for stakeholders; collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Take ownership of model reliability and adapt solutions to shifting requirements and data.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in data science or a similar analytical role.
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, CS, Engineering, Mathematics).
- Strong Python skills and experience with NumPy, Pandas and ML frameworks (scikit‑learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Practical experience with SQL, model evaluation and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with ML experiment tracking, model management and basic MLOps concepts.
- Experience with cloud ML platforms (Azure ML or AWS SageMaker) is desirable.
- Good communication skills and the ability to present results to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
