Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead to architect, implement, test, deploy, and maintain high-volume payment systems.
- Mentor junior engineers: review PRs, uphold code quality, and provide technical guidance.
- Work within cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable payment features.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and propose improvements during Get Stuff Done Days (GSDD).
- Help define operational standards (monitoring, incident response, security) for payment services.

Requirements:
- Significant experience developing production services with a JVM language and Spring Boot; Kotlin is a plus.
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture and distributed systems for payments.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (Postgres preferred) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor others, drive technical decisions, and maintain high engineering standards.
- Proactive, continuous learner with a bias for action and openness to direct feedback.
