Responsibilities:
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to surface trends, anomalies and business opportunities.
- Engineer features and prepare datasets for analytical and ML use cases.
- Develop, train, tune and validate supervised and unsupervised models with appropriate evaluation strategies.
- Apply statistical and probabilistic methods, hypothesis testing and rigorous validation.
- Use experimentation and model management tools (MLflow, W&B, Databricks ML) and apply MLOps practices.
- Query data with SQL and build clear visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI, Tableau).
- Collaborate with cross-functional Data teams to deploy and monitor models in production and ensure ongoing reliability.
- Translate technical results into concise recommendations for non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in data science or related field; degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python, machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) and SQL.
- Experience with model evaluation, cross-validation and preventing overfitting.
- Familiarity with cloud ML platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI) and MLOps fundamentals.
- Experience with model/experiment tracking tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases) and deployment practices.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and across teams to deliver impact.
