Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve the design system: component library, design tokens, documentation and developer tooling.
- Design clear, hard-to-misuse component APIs for human and AI consumers.
- Implement high-quality React + TypeScript components with strong performance and maintainability.
- Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and integrate accessibility best practices throughout development.
- Build and maintain developer experience: Storybook, docs, versioning and smooth migration paths.
- Make the system AI-friendly: expose machine-readable interfaces, tokens and guidelines for AI-assisted development.
- Implement theming, white-labeling, localization and RTL support.
- Collaborate with design, product and engineering teams to drive adoption and roadmap decisions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years software engineering experience, including 3+ years at senior level, with frontend platforms or shared UI systems.
- Proven ownership of a design system or component library used across multiple products.
- Expert React and TypeScript skills and solid frontend architecture experience.
- Deep knowledge of accessibility standards and experience shipping WCAG-compliant components.
- Experience with Storybook, design tokens, theming, localization and web performance optimization.
- Strong cross-functional communication and ability to influence adoption across teams.
