Responsibilities:
- Lead development and scaling of the shared design system: components, tokens, docs and tooling.
- Define component APIs that reduce misuse and are intuitive for developers and AI agents.
- Build performant, maintainable React + TypeScript components with a focus on user experience.
- Drive accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and include a11y best practices in the lifecycle.
- Improve developer DX: Storybook, documentation, versioning and migration strategies.
- Enable AI-assisted development by providing machine-readable artifacts and clear guidelines.
- Support theming, white-labeling, localization and RTL to meet global needs.
- Partner with design, product and engineering to prioritize work and increase adoption.
Requirements:
- 5+ years software engineering experience, including senior-level experience building frontend platforms or shared UI systems.
- Demonstrated ownership of a design system or component library used across multiple products.
- Strong React and TypeScript expertise and experience with component API design.
- Practical knowledge of accessibility standards and experience shipping compliant components.
- Familiarity with Storybook, design tokens, theming, localization and performance practices.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
