Senior Backend Engineer - Security Automation at N26

Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture, design and implementation of high‑availability backend services for the Security Platform.
- Build automation engines and internal tools for threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management at scale.
- Partner with security and product teams to provide shared infrastructure, observability and reliable automation.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, distributed systems design and reliability.
- Own service lifecycle: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, deployments, operational runbooks and on‑call responsibilities.

Requirements:
- 5+ years building production backend systems with strong knowledge of distributed systems and Domain‑Driven Design.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with IaC (Terraform), monitoring/observability, and SRE/security automation patterns.
- Strong engineering craft: clean code, test strategies, scalability and secure design practices.
- Excellent English communication skills and experience collaborating across teams. Nice to have: Kafka, Java/Kotlin, SOAR/SIEM familiarity.
