Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable Python microservices for distributed systems.
- Build and optimize backend services for high throughput and low latency.
- Integrate and maintain third‑party APIs and external services.
- Architect and deploy solutions using AWS (including Lambda) and container platforms.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows with DevOps collaboration (GitLab CI preferred).
- Lead code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, identify bottlenecks and drive performance improvements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Python expertise (FastAPI or Django preferred).
- Demonstrated experience with microservices, Docker/containerization and CI/CD practices.
- Proven experience with AWS services and deploying production workloads (Lambda, cloud infra).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, observability and performance tuning.
- Experience with event‑driven architectures (Kafka/messaging) and high‑throughput systems (payments/trading) is a plus.
- Prior fintech or payments platform experience desirable; strong analytical and communication skills required.
