Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement robust Python backend services (FastAPI/Django) within a microservices, distributed setup.
- Build and tune systems for performance, scalability, and reliability under high load.
- Lead API integrations with third-party services and ensure secure, maintainable interfaces.
- Deploy and manage workloads on AWS (Lambda and cloud infra) and collaborate with DevOps to enhance CI/CD workflows.
- Drive code quality through reviews, incident response, and post-incident improvements.
- Participate in system design discussions, propose scalable solutions, and mentor engineers on best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with deep Python knowledge.
- Demonstrable experience designing and operating microservices at scale.
- Experience with FastAPI or Django, Docker/containerization, and CI/CD (GitLab preferred).
- Strong AWS experience (including serverless patterns) and cloud deployment skills.
- Solid grasp of distributed systems, event-driven architectures (Kafka), and high-throughput processing.
- Background in fintech/payments or real-time systems is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and mentoring ability.
