Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable Python microservices (FastAPI/Django) within a distributed architecture.
- Build and optimize high-performance backend systems to handle high throughput and low latency.
- Integrate and manage third-party APIs and external services reliably and securely.
- Architect and deploy solutions on AWS (including Lambda and cloud infra) and collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD.
- Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments and observability.
- Lead code reviews, troubleshoot complex production issues, and drive performance improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system design and best practices; mentor other engineers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years backend experience with strong Python expertise and production-grade code samples.
- Proven track record building and scaling microservices and high-load systems.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django, Docker, and container orchestration principles.
- Strong AWS experience (Lambda, networking, deployment patterns) and CI/CD (GitLab preferred).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, performance tuning, and identifying bottlenecks.
- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka/messaging) and integrating external payment/fintech APIs.
- Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and experience mentoring peers.
