Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and scale distributed backend systems that power large-scale data-ingestion products.
- Own end-to-end delivery: design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Build real-time, low-latency APIs and backend services in Java (17+) with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Work on cloud-native deployments (AWS), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS).
- Ensure resiliency, fault tolerance, high availability, and observability for high-throughput services.
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and frontend teams and contribute to backend best practices.

Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent and 8+ years backend engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java (17+) and production-grade system design skills.
- Experience with distributed data systems (Redis, Apache Kafka, SQL databases) and high-throughput services.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, container orchestration, and CI/CD/GitOps practices.
- Demonstrated experience building systems for millions of users or similar scale; strong focus on HA and failover strategies.
