Responsibilities:
- Own, operate and improve the platform: AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes (EKS), CI/CD pipelines, observability and incident response end-to-end.
- Lead large infrastructure projects autonomously (e.g., multi-region infra, PR environment deployments) from design through rollout and post-deploy runbook.
- Design for failure: implement resilient architecture, chaos testing, automated recovery and thorough monitoring/alerting.
- Automate deployments and developer workflows to increase velocity and safety across engineering teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, product and security to embed platform best practices and ensure regulator-ready controls.
Requirements:
- 4+ years in DevOps/SRE or platform engineering building production services on AWS.
- Deep experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform (IaC), CI/CD (Github Actions or equivalent) and container tooling.
- Proficient in at least one scripting/language (Python or Go) for automation and tooling.
- Strong observability and incident-response experience (logging, metrics, tracing, runbooks, postmortems).
- Comfortable operating in regulated/production-sensitive environments and working on-site in Berlin or relocating as required.
- Demonstrated ownership, independent delivery and strong collaboration skills.
