Responsibilities:
- Lead the design system roadmap: build and scale component libraries, tokens, documentation and developer tooling.
- Enable AI-assisted development by exposing predictable, machine-readable component metadata and interfaces.
- Design component APIs that minimize errors and make correct usage simple for engineers and agents.
- Implement robust React + TypeScript components with strong performance, accessibility and consistency standards.
- Ensure WCAG 2.2 AA alignment, theming, localization and RTL support are integral to component design.
- Maintain Storybook, clear docs, versioning strategy and migration paths to support adoption.
- Collaborate with design, product and engineering to drive cross-team adoption and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 5+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years at senior level and demonstrable ownership of a design system or shared UI platform.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript, component API design, Storybook and design tokens.
- Strong accessibility knowledge and practical experience implementing localization and theming.
- Experience optimizing frontend performance and building for responsive, international audiences.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working across disciplines.
