Responsibilities:
- Lead development and scaling of the design system: components, tokens, docs and tooling.
- Enable AI-assisted development by making components and metadata machine-readable and predictable.
- Craft component APIs that reduce misuse and make correct implementation straightforward for humans and agents.
- Deliver production-ready React + TypeScript components with emphasis on performance and consistency.
- Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), theming, localization and RTL support are built into the system.
- Maintain Storybook, documentation and smooth migration/versioning paths for consumers.
- Measure adoption, gather feedback and drive the technical roadmap for the next 6–12 months.
Requirements:
- 5+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years at senior level, including ownership of a design system or shared UI platform.
- Strong expertise in React and TypeScript and experience designing component APIs at scale.
- Solid accessibility knowledge, experience with Storybook, design tokens and developer tooling.
- Experience with localization, theming, performance tuning and responsive design.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with design, product and engineering teams.
