Responsibilities:
- Lead design and delivery of backend systems for real-time financial and ERP workflows.
- Build high-quality Python services and REST/graph APIs using modern frameworks (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
- Own architecture, testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Drive PostgreSQL schema design, data migrations, indexing, and query optimization.
- Integrate and harden third-party connections while managing reliability and security trade-offs.
- Partner with product and engineering to implement accurate, auditable financial logic.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable, production systems with complex rules.
- Strong Python background; experience with FastAPI/Flask/Django preferred.
- Expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs, schema design, and migrations.
- Experience with AWS (or equivalent), CI/CD, observability, and incident management.
- Strong system and API design skills for high-complexity domains.
- Excellent English communication, autonomy, and a bias for ownership and speed.
