Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end development of the design system: component library, tokens, documentation and tooling.
- Make components and metadata consumable by AI tools and developer workflows.
- Shape clear, misuse-resistant component APIs and patterns for consistent implementation.
- Write high-quality React + TypeScript code with attention to performance and maintainability.
- Champion accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), theming, localization and RTL support in all components.
- Maintain Storybook, docs, versioning and smooth migration paths for teams adopting the system.
- Collaborate with designers, product and engineering to prioritize and deliver system improvements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years software engineering experience with 3+ years at senior level and proven ownership of a design system or shared UI platform.
- Expert-level React and TypeScript skills and experience designing component APIs and developer tooling.
- Strong accessibility experience and familiarity with Storybook, design tokens and frontend architecture.
- Experience with internationalization, theming, responsive design and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and the ability to drive adoption across distributed teams.
