Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain application templates and reference implementations to let teams focus on business logic.
- Lead framework and library design, ownership of central integration components and security best practices.
- Drive major migrations and upgrades, centralising learnings and enabling consistency across many teams.
- Optimise cloud deployments for performance, reliability, security, and cost (AWS, serverless patterns).
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and developer experience for rapid, secure service delivery.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to capture requirements and promote adoption.
- Research improvements in storage, serverless architectures, and observability.
- Promote and pilot AI tools to enhance developer productivity and code quality.
Requirements:
- Deep experience with Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot in production microservice environments.
- Hands-on AWS experience (ECS, Fargate, Lambda) and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and security patterns.
- Experience designing reusable libraries and developer-facing templates.
- Excellent system design skills and familiarity with messaging systems and observability tools.
- Degree in computer science or equivalent experience; strong English communication skills.
