Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain high‑performance Rust services for time‑sensitive banking workloads.
- Implement correct, well‑tested financial logic and ensure strong observability and reliability.
- Design and operate streaming/data pipelines, handle real‑time inputs and event-driven feedback.
- Profile and optimize systems for latency and throughput; address resource usage and failure modes.
- Collaborate on system architecture, APIs and data models with cross-functional teams.
- Write clear documentation, tests and operational playbooks.
Requirements:
- Degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.
- Deep Rust knowledge (ownership, lifetimes, async, concurrency, error handling) and production experience.
- Practical experience with Docker, AWS and Terraform.
- Strong systems thinking around latency, backpressure and distributed failure modes.
- Experience profiling and benchmarking low‑latency services.
- Clear communicator with a focus on testability, code quality and operational readiness; fintech domain experience a plus.
