Responsibilities:
- Own architecture, implementation, deployment, and long-term evolution of developer platform and AI tooling capabilities.
- Lead multi-quarter technical projects: break initiatives into milestones and deliver measurable, iterative improvements.
- Build and operate systems for developer productivity, CI/CD, testing infrastructure, code quality automation, observability, and engineering metrics.
- Drive adoption and effective use of AI-powered developer tools and workflows across engineering teams.
- Define technical direction and scalable solutions; anticipate long-term challenges and trade-offs.
- Partner with engineering leadership on roadmap and technical strategy; provide recommendations and alternative approaches.
- Mentor engineers through design collaboration, code reviews, and technical guidance.
- Own operational health: monitor, triage, improve, maintain, and deprecate systems using data and feedback.
- Ensure integrations with third-party APIs and SaaS are reliable, secure, maintainable, and provide a strong developer experience.
Requirements:
- 7+ years professional software engineering experience, including 2–3+ years operating at Senior or Staff level.
- Hands-on experience building and operating developer platforms, developer tooling, CI/CD systems, observability/metrics infrastructure, code-quality automation, or testing infrastructure.
- Proven record delivering tooling or infrastructure that measurably improves developer productivity, reliability, or delivery velocity.
- Strong backend engineering, system design, API integration, and SaaS experience.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, monitoring, and metrics-driven operations.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, mentorship, strong communication, and ability to operate autonomously on multi-quarter initiatives.
- Focus on security, maintainability, and developer experience when designing integrations and tools.
