Responsibilities:
- Design and implement latency-sensitive, high-throughput services in Rust that process time-critical financial data.
- Build and maintain streaming/event pipelines for real-time inputs, processing and feedback loops.
- Implement robust, testable financial logic with strong correctness guarantees and end-to-end tests.
- Profile and optimize CPU, memory and network usage; run benchmarks and resolve bottlenecks.
- Contribute to API design, data modelling and overall system architecture for distributed services.
- Improve observability, logging, error handling and automated testing for production reliability.
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong production Rust experience (ownership, lifetimes, async, concurrency, error handling).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS and Terraform in production environments.
- Proven background building low-latency, high-performance systems and streaming pipelines.
- Solid systems thinking: latency, throughput, backpressure and failure modes.
- Experience profiling/benchmarking and optimizing real systems; familiarity with distributed architectures and API design.
- Clear communicator, strong analytical mindset and a focus on well-architected, testable code.
