Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and scale backend services that power real-time, business-critical finance and ERP workflows.
- Build and maintain robust APIs, background jobs, and service integrations using Python and modern frameworks (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
- Own the full software lifecycle: architecture, coding, testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Operate and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, queries, and overall database performance.
- Integrate third-party systems and handle edge cases, reliability, retries, and data consistency.
- Translate complex accounting and product requirements into reliable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Continuously improve system scalability, performance, observability, and operational runbooks.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience building production-grade systems with complex business logic.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS or similar) and building CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL), SQL, ORM frameworks, schema design and migrations.
- Proven experience designing and operating resilient APIs and backend services at scale.
- Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, performance tuning, and production operations.
- Python experience; familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, or Django preferred.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-ownership environments and with evolving requirements.
- Excellent communication in English and a pragmatic problem-solving mindset.
