Responsibilities:
- Partner with customers to gather requirements and shape product experiences.
- Design and implement scalable backend systems to support thousands of AI-driven phone calls per day.
- Build front-end features and user flows that make sense in an AI-first product (TypeScript/React).
- Own projects end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and post-release support.
- Make core architectural decisions and improve system reliability, performance, and observability.
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and support to iterate quickly and deliver impact.

Requirements:
- 2+ years professional software engineering experience.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills: complex queries, indexing, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and familiarity with Python.
- Experience building scalable asynchronous or real-time processing systems.
- Proven ability to own projects from 0→1 and operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable translating customer problems into product features.
- Familiarity with Temporal.io, Twilio, or Modal is a plus.
