Responsibilities:
- Lead an engineering team to design and deliver Scalable’s integrated investment and new banking platform.
- Empower engineers through coaching, hiring, and career development to build self-organized teams.
- Collaborate closely with product and design to define and ship high-value features.
- Provide technical leadership on backend technologies (Java/Kotlin), cloud infra, and event-driven systems.
- Align team priorities with business goals, manage delivery cadence, and ensure quality.
Requirements:
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience as a backend developer (Java/Kotlin), ideally in cloud and event-based architectures.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems, RESTful API design, and modern engineering practices.
- Strong people management skills, ownership, and experience recruiting technical talent.
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders; fintech experience desirable.
