Responsibilities:
- Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput Rust services that process time-sensitive financial data.
- Build streaming pipelines for real-time inputs, event processing and feedback loops.
- Implement correct, testable financial logic with strong correctness guarantees and observability.
- Profile and optimize CPU, memory and network behaviour; run benchmarks and triage performance regressions.
- Collaborate on API design, data models and distributed system architecture with product and engineering teams.
- Ensure high test coverage, monitoring, logging and reliable deployment practices.
Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong Rust skills (ownership, lifetimes, async, concurrency and error handling) and production experience.
- Experience with Docker, AWS and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Background building low-latency, high-performance services and event-driven pipelines.
- Systems thinking about latency, throughput, backpressure and failure modes.
- Clear communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
- Familiarity with profiling/benchmarking tools and domain-driven design is a plus.
