Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain high-performance backend services, primarily in Go, with a focus on maintainability and test coverage.
- Implement and operate new microservices while contributing to migration plans away from legacy systems.
- Work with product, design and data science to convert requirements into robust, production-ready designs.
- Ensure services meet performance, scalability and reliability targets (latency, throughput, fault tolerance).
- Participate in the full delivery lifecycle: design, implementation, code review, testing, and CI/CD deployment.
Requirements:
- 3+ years backend experience (5+ years preferred for senior) building scalable production services.
- Experience with Go or a strong systems language (Python, Java, C++, Ruby acceptable; fundamentals prioritized).
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and message brokers (RabbitMQ or Kafka).
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across geographically distributed teams.
