Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain platform services in Go, focusing on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Implement microservices and guide migrations from legacy systems (Ruby monolith) with careful rollouts.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver production-ready solutions.
- Optimize systems for latency, throughput, and operational simplicity; participate in on-call and incident response.
- Promote TDD, CI/CD, and best practices through reviews, mentorship, and documentation.
Requirements:
- 3+ years backend experience (5+ for senior hires) building scalable services; Go experience preferred.
- Strong familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Experience deploying and operating services on AWS and Kubernetes; knowledge of Terraform or similar IaC tools.
- Good English communication (B2+) and ability to discuss trade-offs with peers.
- Demonstrated system design, debugging, and performance-tuning experience.
