Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend services (primarily in Go) that power shared platform tooling and infrastructure.
- Build and maintain microservices; lead migrations from legacy systems (Ruby monolith) with reliability and safety.
- Ensure services remain low-latency and highly available under production load.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Advocate TDD/DDD and CI/CD best practices; perform code reviews and mentor teammates.
Requirements:
- 3+ years backend experience (5+ for senior roles) building scalable services; Go preferred (other languages accepted for fundamentals).
- Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and message brokers (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
- Experience operating services on AWS and Kubernetes; familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and system design skills.
- Good communication skills and experience working across teams to deliver platform features.
