Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a scalable cloud data platform on AWS to support analytics, regulatory reporting and ML workflows
- Design and operate reliable ingestion pipelines from backend services and third parties (batch and streaming)
- Create, test and maintain ETL/ELT jobs, transformations and data models for reporting and decision-making
- Implement monitoring, alerting and automated tests to ensure pipeline correctness and performance
- Partner with product, analytics, engineering and compliance to deliver data products and meet regulatory needs
- Promote IaC, security best practices and cost-efficient cloud architecture
Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences or equivalent
- Several years of hands-on data engineering experience, ideally in AWS environments
- Strong Python, SQL and PySpark/Spark skills; experience with dbt and Airflow preferred
- Practical experience with streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, Spark Streaming) and data modelling
- Familiarity with Terraform, IAM, VPCs and cloud security practices
- Good collaboration, communication skills and a data-quality mindset
