Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate scalable AWS-based data pipelines and a lakehouse to support analytics, regulatory reporting and AI use cases
- Ingest and process data from internal services and third parties using batch and streaming patterns
- Develop ETL/ELT jobs and high-quality data models for reporting, advanced analytics and machine learning
- Implement testing, CI/CD, monitoring and alerting to ensure data accuracy, performance and reliability
- Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics and compliance teams to deliver data products and enable stakeholders
- Drive best practices for cloud security, data governance, IaC and cost-efficient architecture
Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences or equivalent
- Significant hands-on experience in data engineering (AWS preferred) and strong Python skills
- Proficient in SQL, PySpark/Spark and data modelling for analytical and regulatory workloads
- Experience with orchestration (Airflow), dbt and streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink or Spark Streaming)
- Familiarity with Terraform, IAM, VPCs, observability and production-grade testing for pipelines
- Strong communication, ownership mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
